This is a stunning cleaver by Cornelius Whitehouse.
A great opportunity for someone to rehandle - I was so tempted, but for once sense prevailed - I am so much better at buying and selling tools than I am at restoring them.
This cleaver has four separate stamps on it, including the hedgehog, and the stamp of the Smithfield butcher that commisioned it - so good!
